House calls for medical evaluations are not history yet. Canton Foot Specialists is reviving the practice due to the increased demand of patients whose foot conditions make walking in for an office visit extremely difficult or who simply lack transportation.

To keep up with demand, Canton Foot Specialists has hired Theodore Bens, DPM.  In addition to making house calls, Dr. Bens also sees patients at the main office in Canton.

Dr. Bens has a special interest in sports medicine and senior foot care.  He received his DPM degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA, in 1988.  He has staff privileges at Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, MI.  "Dr. Bens clearly explained the procedures he needed to do.  He was very gentle with the painful area," said patient Debora Ingram.
